Cousin Becky
Biography
Name: Cousin Becky
Physical Description: 5'2" and we'll call me well endowed and big boned, never ever ever fat. Formerly pixie cut hair that is starting to grow out again, dyed a deep burgundy color, and this is a major change from the last war (it was more of a blondish brown and almost shoulder length). I've got two pairs of black wire rimmed glasses; one pair is deeply tinted for anything done during the day. Usually wearing jeans and a t-shirt or button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up for casual wear, but I do have nicer pants and jackets I can wear if needed. Since it's going to be relevant, my pajams consist of an oversized thick red t-shirt with a University of Louisiana at Lafayette Logo and red and white plaid flannel shorts, also with the UL logo on them
Resources: Driving up in a Hyundai Santa Fe that has quite a bit of room in it, also will have a serger and sewing machine (since it came in SO handy during the last war),as well as various sewing supplies and pattern making books / slopers / etc. with me -- I have a dress to complete for a Cording ceremony scheduled two days after the War is supposed to end . Also will be bringing my laptop computer that has various fashion based programs on it.
Strengths: Can create various patterns in a short amount of time for a wide variety of sizes, and can also create garments fairly quickly -- this is where the Fashion Design degree comes in handy! Also, since I've got an autistic, non verbal older child, I have an uncanny knack for deducing what is wanted or needed in situations; since she has had a home health nurse from a very young age, I've also got some basic medical skills that I've picked up from them and from their textbooks they've brought for me to read and learn from. I love to read and research things, and often can be found doing so just for fun.
Weaknesses: Let's just say I do NOT have a green thumb in any way. Perhaps we'll even call it an anti-green thumb. A *red* thumb, if you will. I can't take care of plants at all... doesn't matter if I am diligent about watering them and giving them plant food like I'm supposed to, the plants will die eventually. :( Also, I have a very bad case of psoriasis, thus causing psoriatic arthritis that is affecting my lower spinal area and hips, so walking long distances / running / standing for extended periods of time is out of the question (but this has a silver lining in that my car is equipped with a handicapped parking plate). Also related to that is the fact that cold, damp weather makes it worse, especially if I'm not strict about taking the meds that are prescribed. Like Tser, I cannot stand seeing an animal in distress, and will do whatever I can to prevent or bring a halt to it if I see it. I also have a severe weakness for bath goodies and smell good stuffs.
Quirks/Other: Being a Cajun woman, I can't cook for less than 6 people, and tend to cook outrageous amounts of food if I get into the kitchen. I am the repository for useless facts, to the point that on the college Quiz Bowl team, I was the "trash" specializing member -- pop culture, video games, movies, songs, etc. I even managed to best our resident Quiz Bowl Superman (he was dubbed "Rain Main" by other teams), that's how much useless crap I have stuffed in my brain.

Addiction to Mountain Dew (the caffeinated version, that is). ^_^

If anyone wants to use me in a story, I am always up for it. Just ask to make sure I'm not being used elsewhere!
