Description:
Scram is a Sewer Rat, about a foot long from nose to tailtip. Her patchy, mangy fur is a dull agouti (ticked brown and black) fading to cream on her belly. Patches of scabby, inflamed, boil- and abscess- and pock-marked skin can be seen in places. Parasites can be seen crawling through her fur. Her ears are nicked and full of ear mites. She has very poor hygeine and also smells like illness and decay. Her tail is broken twice, and covered in sores. Looking dreadfully thin, she foams at the mouth and staggers about.

Scram has the following parasites (again, depict however many you feel like):
Scram's skin is crawling with Xenopsylla cheopis, the Oriental rat flea and famed carrier of bubonic plague. They sup of her lifejuice, and take every opportunity to hop to a new host. Scram is also dotted with ticks, which have imbedded their greedy little heads into her flesh. Radfordia ensifera (host-specific mites) colonize her skin, earmites cause her ears to be full of stinky black gunk, and mange causes her fur to fall out in patches. Polyplax spinulosa (spined rat lice) cling to strands of fur and lay their eggs, burrowing into her skin. She is host to other assorted parasites. A few boils can be seen here and there, swollen and hard, where cuterebra, the botfly, have laid eggs under her skin, that are developing into fully grown botflies. Inside her digestive tract, Hymenolepis diminuta (rat tapeworm) gets first crack at anything the rat eats, and Syphacia muris (rat pinworms) nestle in her bowels. Her intestines are colonized by Trichomonads, Giardia muris, and Spironucleus muris. Cysts infected with Taenia taeniaformis (the cat tapeworm) have imbedded themselves in her liver.
Scram may be found with all kinds of sewer gunk and refuse (a "pack" rat hoard of worthless, broken objects mixed with nesting material and rotting food; an old moldy sandwich she's pulled from the garbage; a tattered discarded newspaper she's tearing up as a nest, etc.) if you would like.
Preferred Environment: The sewers, alleys and gutters of a large city. Particularly Sewer Central on FurryMUCK (you can find the description by logging in and typing "t sewer" if you are a MUCKer).
Brief History:
Scram's family's nest was raided by humans when she was just a pinky.
She was raised as a lab rat. Scientists tested an attempted universal cure/vaccine for all diseases on her. They gave her the "vaccine" and then attempted to infect her with various diseases. Instead of a cure, they found a serum which caused the subject to contract diseases and then survive indefinitely, infected and symptomatic.
That said, she is still made physically fragile by her diseases, and will probably die the first time she trips and falls, or is exposed to the elements, or something.
Eventually, she escaped from the lab. Some of her diseases were contracted in the lab, others she has picked up over time.
Personality: Insane, confused, swings wildly between extremely passive and extremely aggressive.
Anything Else: She bites.
Her arch-enemy is Albino Alligator.
She is in love with Dawl, a space lizard, but it is (very very) unrequited love. (Image 1, image 2.)

I started a comic, Scram, the Story of a Sewer Rat, but I only got two strips done, so you'll only see her as a peach-fuzzed pinky. Heh.
She is also featured (by several artists) in the Sewer Central War Comics (note that these were drawn as a story war, not for artistic quality -- heh).
Theme: Hoarding things, in the lab, in the sewers, biting someone/something, being insane and sickly, wreaking havoc beyond the sewer (such as in a posh restaurant, a beautiful park, etc.) or anything that tickles your fancy.
